For the month of July, we invite you to remember to relax! We cannot control everything and often time stressing over the things out of our control makes matters worse…causing us to stress more. It can be a vicious loop! So, take it easy when you can (while also working hard). And, take time to ACTUALLY relax! Take a yoga class, do a round of light breathing, go to the beach, go for a walk, or enjoy a movie! Whatever helps you physically relax, make time for that this month, too.

Can you believe we’re almost halfway through the year?! This month’s intention is to connect, inspired by our recent visit with Seas the Yoga (Nina and I have been best friends since we were 6!). We shared ideas, knowledge, and encouraged each other as we both pursue our passions. How can you connect with those around you this month? Try encouraging the person next to you as they try a new pose, grabbing a cup of coffee with a friend, or designating undistracted time (no looking at your phones!) with your significant other.
For the month of May we invite you to listen! Listen to those things that serve you (and DON’T listen to those voices that don’t serve you). Listen to your body, your heart, your positive self talk, your friends’ words of encouragement. Whatever you choose to listen to, make it positive!
As we get ready to start April, we invite you to focus on staying calm when something starts to frustrate or upset you. Maybe it’s a pose in class or a situation at work, whatever it is, remember to breathe and to stay calm.
