Tips for "Showing Up"

This week's tip isn't our traditional tips and tricks. We want to help you make progress toward your goals this year - whatever they may be! So we're sharing our top tips for how to "show up."

1. Don't overthink it or make it complicated. If your goal is to run faster, put on your running shoes. Then, take the next step. If your goal is to read more, pick up a book. Then, flip to the first page. If your goal is to get stronger or exercise more, sign up for a class at a gym or studio that you like. Then, (literally) show up!

2. If your goal is broad or somewhat vague, like being healthier or more active, narrow it down a bit or be more specific. Being healthier may look like cooking more meals at home, exercising more, or getting a better night's rest. Decide what those more general goals look like to you. Then show up! Take that first, small step.

3. Once you show up, then start to set those smaller, actionable, and measurable tasks. Of course, if it's easier to set those smaller tasks first and then show up, do that! In my experience, it's always been easier to show up first, get my feet wet so to say, and then set smaller tasks that I can continue showing up to and working toward.

4. Remember it's OK if you get off track. Don't beat yourself up, just show up again.
