Stepping One Foot Forward from Downward Facing Dog

Ever have trouble stepping one foot forward from downward facing dog? Yeah, us too! Try these steps to give yourself a little leverage and to make space between you and your mat while moving your foot forward. Leave a comment and let us know if this tip helps you!

Step 1: From down dog, inhale your right foot toward the ceiling for three-legged down dog

Step 2: Exhale has you start to shift forward, coming up high onto your back toes and pulling your knee to your chest or nose as you press the ground away from you, lifting your hips

Step Two: Knee to Chest or Nose

Step 3: Look between your hands and lower your foot down (with control) between your hands.
